Deep in the slums of Manila, a young boxer's life is changed forever when his father pressures him to cheat in a fight. His American father is an alcoholic who is his manager and trainer, while his Filipina mother works overseas. The cheating leads to his opponent’s death. Wracked with guilt, he does his best to make amends.
