A woman returns to her farming village within seven days of her father's death. She is reminded of the villagers' simplicity and superstitions that are part of Taiwanese funeral ritual traditions. After the burial, she leaves to return to her busy metropolis. While sitting in the airport in Hong Kong, however, thoughts of longing for her father suddenly overwhelm her.
