Kai, a lovesick young man, wants to leave Taipei for Paris to be with his girlfriend. Spending nights in a bookstore studying French, he meets Susie, who works there and takes an interest in him. In one extraordinary night, Kai finds the thrills and romance he was looking for in Taipei.
