Cambodian cinema was wiped out by the Khmer Rouge, resulting in the destruction of films and abandonment of theatres. Actors and directors were also destroyed, executed or exiled. Mr. Chou, a prominent producer’s grandson, interviews surviving filmmakers and a star actress, Dy Saveth, to reconstruct a fraction of the erased history.
