Picking up where Infernal Affairs ends, Ming is cleared of any charges involving Yan's killing, and he is eventually assigned to the division of Internal Affairs. He comes to believe that Yeung, who is rapidly rising up the ranks of the police department, is one of Sam’s moles and is determined to expose him.
