In Tokyo, single mother Keiko moves into a small apartment with her four children, who have different fathers and do not have schooling, but they live happily with their mother. When Keiko finds a new boyfriend, she abandons the children, leaving a little money to her eldest son Akira to take care of his siblings while she is gone.
