The day her father drunkenly crashes his motorbike is when his young daughter Yangchan begins to realize something is wrong with him. The people of her Tibetan village cannot understand why he refuses to visit her sick grandfather, who lives in a cave as a holy man and has been visited by everyone else making a pilgrimage.
