In 1455, Nae-kyung, the son of a ruined noble family, wanders the country, studying physiognomy. After years of learning, he is able to assess the personality, mental state, and habits of a person by looking at his or her face. So valuable are his abilities, he gets involved in a power struggle between Prince Sooyang and General Kim Jong-seo.
