When Bee returns to Malaysia for the first time in 10 years, she introduces her conservative father Chuan to her happy-go-lucky British fiancé Benji. Due to Benji's lack of understanding of Chinese traditions, Chuan initially opposes their marriage, but eventually consents, on the condition that their wedding adheres to Chinese tradition.
