Following Volume 4, Shozo Hirono is serving seven years in prison, while Akira Takeda wins his release on a technicality. Takeda then unites all the crime families in the Hiroshima region, begins shedding their yakuza image, and forms the Tensei Coalition political party to gain political power and respectability.
