Masterless samurai Sanjuro wanders into a town run by two warlords. The place is a den of inequity, filled with hordes of gamblers. The samurai sets out to clean up the town by playing the two warlords off against each other. However, his efforts are complicated by the arrival of the wily Unosuke, who is armed with a revolver.
