A novelist writes about a mysterious train that leaves for a place called 2046 occasionally. Everyone who comes aboard has the same intention: Recapture their lost memories. In 2046, it is thought that nothing ever changes. Nobody is certain if this is true, because nobody who went there has ever returned, except for one man.
