During the Edo Period of Japan, a time when the Shogun ruled with samurai, an excellent cook marries the heir to a renowned cooking family who serve at Kanazawa Castle. Unfortunately, her husband is an embarrassment to them because he is a terrible chef. With the help of her new mother-in-law, she teaches him how to master the culinary arts.
