In the early 1900s, four gang lords hold Shanghai in an iron grip until newcomer Long Qi elbows his way in. He befriends young and honest Ma Yongzhen, who is blessed with great kung fu talent and also seeks his fortune. When Long Qi gets into trouble, Yongzhen comes to his aid, even though his girlfriend is against fighting.
