Tan lives in Chiang Mai with his widowed mother. Bored with his rural life, he decides not to study agriculture and chooses a university in Bangkok against her wishes. She must accept that he is own man and can never replace her husband. In the meantime, Tan must grow up and make hard decisions about his own life.
