The samurai lord of a peaceful village is murdered by one of his own men, who forces the lord’s two small children to flee into the forest, where they hide near the giant statue of Daimajin, their village god. After 10 years of the new lord’s brutality, the villagers pray for Daimajin to awaken and save them.
