Maria reveres her workaholic accountant husband, Bing, awed by the sacrifices he made for the family. She even respects his insistence that she not speak to their son. But when she finds evidence that Bing is having an affair, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery by engaging with the world, something Bing always discouraged.
