Gong Yutian appoints Ip Man grandmaster for Southern China. Ip Man then combats Yutian’s daughter, Gong Er, who wins, and they become lifelong friends. After World War II, Ip Man moves to Hong Kong to provide for his family and meets Gong Er again, learning she has chosen the path of vengeance after her father is killed.
