Dr. Ruining Xu is a prominent psychiatrist who uses psychotherapy to treat his patients. His mentor, Professor Fang, refers a patient, Xiaoyan Ren, who claims she can see ghosts. He agrees to treat Xiaoyan despite a warning from a colleague who once treated the beautiful young woman that there is something very disturbing about her.
