Jun leaves mainland China and goes to Hong Kong, hoping to earn enough money to marry his girlfriend back home. He meets the streetwise Qiao, who is also from the mainland, and they become friends. As time passes, their friendship turns into love. Although they seem meant for each other, something in their lives always gets in the way.
