Fuelled by battlefield victories, Hao Jie sneers at Shaolin masters after killing a rival warlord on their temple grounds. But when his own family is wiped out in an unexpected turn of events, Hao is forced to take refuge with the monks. He and the Shaolin masters then unite to take a fiery stand against the evil warlords.
